My name is Beth Offenbacker, and I’m the conference manager for an upcoming conference in Second Life that we (PublicDecisions)are co-sponsoring with LearningTimes.net for people who work with stakeholders on environmental and planning projects. The event will explore how Second Life can be used for that purpose.
Based on what Etopia is about (particularly the educational element) we think it could be an excellent location for one of our potential field trips for conference attendees that we’ll be offering during the event.
If this is something that might be of interest, I’d like to schedule a brief phone call to touch base and answer any questions you might have. (Or, if there is someone else I should speak with, please let me know.)
In the interim, I encourage you to visit the website that we’ve established for planning the event with our working group http://sites.google.com/site/publicdecisions2lconference/Home. The conference will be held entirely in Second Life on Thursday, July 16, 2009.
Many thanks for considering this request and I look forward to your response –
Best, Beth Offenbacker, beth@publicdecisions.com
